Open Office is a new online concept which provides a regular opportunity for members to connect with SASSLA staff and other relevant education stakeholders in short regular Zoom sessions. We aim to hold these sessions twice a term in weeks 4 and 8 at 4.00pm on a Friday afternoon for approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. These sessions will not be recorded and they provide a time for connection with both SASSLA and your colleagues to network around difficult issues.
Our next session will be held on:
Friday 24 March 2023
4.00pm to 5.00pm
The focus of this session is
Recruitment, Selection, and Reappointment of Leaders – What’s Working and What’s Not?
Our Term 1, Week 8 Open Office will focus on Point 6 in our 2023 Leadership Employment Priorities Publication – Review and Improvement of Recruitment and Selection Practices for Band A and Band B Leaders. We would like to hear from members about the good, the bad, and the ugly experiences of our current merit selection processes. What improvements can be made to ensure fairness and objectivity? Hearing your experiences will help us shape our advocacy in this area for all leaders.
You can also email us a question that we can address anonymously during the session if you prefer or use the chat box in Zoom to correspond directly with Phil and Leanne during the session. The sessions are not recorded and are based on an understanding of confidentiality for those attending.
Please complete the form below to register and we will send you a meeting request and Zoom link.
